Christmas Books:  "The Mirror of Cassandre", and "Blind Willow, sleeping woman".

The first book,  The Mirror of Cassandre,was written by the French author Bernard Werber who is famous for his trilogy : The cycle of ants. He was born in 1961 and he is still writing today. This book talks about a girl, Cassandre who lost her parents in an attack in Egypt, during a Verdi performance and she has no news of her brother, Daniel. She lives in an orphanage led by Philippe Papadakis who knew her very well. After she hurt him, she ran away and arrived at «Redemption», a garbage dump where Esmeralda, Fetnat, Orlando and Kim Ye Bin lived as hobos. Little by little, she realizes she has a gift; she can see the future and she has a watch which gives her the time of death in the 5 seconds. But she doesn't remember her childhood and the horrible past she went through. This book is very interesting to read; the style of writing of Werber permitted to read, read and always read. The revelation of Cassandre's past, at the far end is very surprising. The book will be loved by Werber's fans.

The second book, Blind Willow, sleeping woman, was written by Haruki Murakami in 1995. Murakami is a famous japanese writer, above all famous in Japan. He was born in 1949 and he is still alive. He was known as a storyteller; he won many awards for his books. One of his famous novels are « Kafka on the shore », « Norwegian Wood », this one was very popular among Japanese young people. Blind willow, sleeping woman is a collection of short stories,  like «The Mirror», «The plane or the man who speak at him» or « Where I find him ? ». Every short story is written with poetry, humor and are very pleasant to read. Every short story talks about something different. Every short story is a piece of everyday life and everyday people. The fans of Murakami will rediscover the graceful world of the author.

FRENCH PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS OF 2012 

Who will be in charge of France in 2012? Who will help the French population to pick up after the crisis? Several people want to do this job, but who will be elected? And what are their plans? We asked about that...

The first round of voting will start on April, 22, 2012, and the second; on May, 6.

All candidates must have validated their declaration of candidacy by the Constitutional Council before March, 16 and the official list of all candidates will be published on March, 20 but some people already declared themselves as candidates. (Let’s set the record straight) about the candidates.

For the Right Wing Party, there are six potentials candidates:

For the UMP (Union for a popular movement) Nicolas Sarkozy, the current President, wants to run for the next election again, but the unfavourable results of the polls and the bad popularity ratings showed that he has slim chances to be re-elected. But if he decides to give up, three others men can stand up to represent the UMP : Alain Juppé, François Fillon and Jean-François Copé.

Dominique de Villepin represents his own party, the Solidarity Republic (République Solidaire).

Christine Boutin, the president of the Christian Democrat party (Chrétien-Démocrate) is also runing for the next election also.

The party Hunt, Fish, Nature and Traditions (“Chasse, Pêche, Nature et Traditions”) is represented by Frédéric Nihous.

Moreover, Marine Lepen is candidate and represents the Extremist Right-Wing Party.

Nicolas Stoquer and Nicolas Dupont-Aignan runs for the elections too, respectively for the Rally For France Party ( Rassemblement pour la France) and Stand-Up France (“Debout la France”.)

All we know for the moment, even if there are six candidates for the Right-Wing Party, it is Nicolas Sarkozy who leads the way, according to the opinion polls.

For the Left-wing party, there is also one candidate for the PS (Socialist Party): François Hollande. He was elected to represent his party during the Socialist Primary election, on October, 9 and 16 2011.

Eva Joly, who represents the Ecologic party runs for office too.

Jean-Pierre Chevènement wants to be president by representing his party  the Republican and Citizen Movement.

Other people are running for election too, like François Bayrou who is the President of the Democrat Movement. He announced his third candidacy for the Presidential election. There is also a only-26-years-old man named, Alexandre Callet, and a student who wants to represent the voice of the young people: Maxime Verner … and also a pastor who is known for his participation at a reality TV show Secret Story on 2007 , Laurent Lenne. In other words, candidates are diverse and numerous!

Jack Sparrow is back for Christmas!

Pirates of Caribbean 4, the new chapter of the saga Pirates of Caribbean is now available on DVDs. A great opportunity to watch it on TV with your family during the holidays!
The part IV, even if it is not worth the first movie, is however much better than the two previous ones. After a part II a little bit darker and not as fun as the first one, after a long  and beyond understanding part III which made no sense, the part IV succeed to make a better suite. One of the reasons is the arrival of a new director, Rob Marshall, who took control of the saga, after the trilogy was directed by Gore Verbinski. A movie less extravagant and simpler than the previous ones. A movie more similar to the first, with an atmosphere more relaxed and which stays simple, but efficient.

Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and Angelica (Penelope Cruz)

In this new chapter, the Captain Jack Sparrow has to find the fountain of youth after a stop in London. We can say goodbye to the characters William Turner and Elizabeth Swann, the movie is like a renewal of Pirate of Caribbean, only with Jack Sparrow and his friend Gibbs and Barbossa who is now a privateer. A renewal with an accent put on the adventure and not on epics fights. This part is more faithful to the first one and lets us travel trough beautiful landscapes.
But if the movie is not as complicated as the previous ones, it is however not without interest. It may be noted the scene of the attack of the mermaids, remains a powerful scene of the movie. The rest of it make us laugh with a Jack Sparrow still as weird and funny as before and who follows many groups who are looking for the fountain of youth.
New characters arrived in this new chapter, and we can find Angelica, an ex companion of Jack Sparrow, played by Penelope Cruz, and the cruel Blackbeard, played by Ian McShane.
Two suites have already been confirmed, but it is not sure to find Rob Marshall directing this time, and the rumours already talk about the possibility to find a certain Tim Burton. Wait and see!

Can be better

What about if you have just one or two hours to live? What about if a member of your family or a friend have just thirty minutes to live? Do you give them some time? Because in  the movie “Time Out”, it is possible.
This movie, directed by Andrew Niccol with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried, takes place in the year 2161 and at this period, money had been replaced by time. You pay and you are paid with time.
Actually, time is more precious than money, because when you are out of time, you die. A concept very original and never seen before which could have been much better exploited. Indeed, in spite the fact that the scenario is good, the movie stays too simple, and misses opportunities of a stronger story.
Instead of giving a lot of rebounds, we have actions, but we stay on the same concept, and the movie doesn’t really move forward. The suspense is predictable and nothing is really surprising. The movie stays a good science-fiction thriller, however you can enjoy watching it, but you don’t have too expect too much.

What’s on T.V tonight?

Love is blind is a program which consists in finding your lover in the dark and see if this love can last in the daylight, even if the physical appearance of the person you met in the dark does not match to what you expected. It is nuts and not really worth it. People are stupid and they actually really believe they can fall in love in twenty minutes. In my opinion you cannot fall in love in such a short time. This program is absolutely daft so I prefer switch to another program. Moreover, many times, contestants are disappointed when the show ends.

E=M6 is, according to me, a “real program” because it is as interesting for adults as children. It concerns everybody and talks about current problems. You can be sure that if you watch it you will be going to learn great news about the world or just French people life. Their subjects are varied so people can improve their personal culture. It can talk about everything: politic, fashion, news… I really advise you to watch this program.

To enjoy the beginning of Christmas you should listen to music.

Go to the Zic'aji's concerts!

You will be able to dance on the Christmas’s rhythm with your friends and maybe meet someone.

The concert will take place on December the 22, 2011  at Saint Jean de Boiseau in the municipal hall.

T begins at 8.30 P.M.

There will be four bands with different music, different instruments and different opinions.

The first group is a girl band. Their name is Haidy.

There have five members in their group.

They live in La Montagne , it is the reason why they chose this name.

Their best song is “Haidy cinq petites filles de la montagne” in reference to the comic book “Haidy petite fille de la montagne”.

They play rock and ska music.

The Second artist is a man alone.

His name is Quentin Angelini and he plays acoustic pop rock songs.

The third group is according to me the best group.

There are seven members in this band.

Their name is the Zohta Family.

They play reggae music and a little of Dub music too.

They have many instruments as a drum, a saxophone, a piano, a bass guitar, two guitars and a singer.

They live in La Montagne as the group Haidy and they play in many different cities.

They play and sing for liberties and against inequalities like their song « Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité ».

A new CD is coming out soon!

The last group is From Silence to violence .

It is a metal band.

Their best  songs are « Sad Day », « The End of The World » and « Man of Power ».

LEAVE YOUR FORMAL HABITS AND PREPARE A NEW CHRISTMAS MEAL WHICH WILL STURNNING YOUR FRIENDS!!!

Are not you fed up to eat every year the same dishes for Christmas dinner? Are not you fed up to see each Christmas night the same faces who make all the time the same jokes which are not funny? Change your Christmas dinner and it will maybe change your life!

For the starter let s do stuff Tunisian croissants.

Ingredients

2 packets of flaky pastry            

230g of minced meat

1 onion

5 packets of parsley

1 cafe spoons of paprika

2 cafe spoons of tomato juice            

1 cafe spoon of hot chili sauce

2 soup spoons of olive juice

Some salt and pepper

Cooking

Minced the onions, then put onions in an oil frying-pan and add meat; tomatoes juice; hot chili sauce and shake during 3 minutes. Turn off the fire and put some salt and pepper. Cut the dough in 8 triangles part then put the stuff into the dough and roll it on, put it into the grill for 20 minutes.

Here we are!

For the main course, let’s do a special vietnamian meal, the beef of veg.

Ingredients

500g of beef

3 onions

2 soup spoons of soy sauce

Some pepper

2 carrots

350g of green haricot

5 Chinese cauliflowers

Some salt and olive juice

Cooking

Cut the carrots in fine slices, put the haricots in warm water during 8 minutes, cut the cauliflowers in lashes, minced the meat, put 2 spoons of olive oil in a wok put the onion slices with carrots and haricots and let them cook for 2 minutes then add the beef with soy sauce in the wok, let it warm up for 3 minutes and then it will be ready to eat.

To conclude let’s do an English specialty, the apple crumble!

Ingredients

6 pretties apples

150g of soft brown sugar

150g of butter

1 soup spoon of cinnamon

1 little packet of vanilla sugar

Some lemon juice

200g of flour

Cooking

Peel the apples then put them into a big dish, and then add on top of it some lemon juice with cinnamon and vanilla sugar. In another dish mix the flour; soft brown sugar and some butter then shake it. Put that on the apple plat and put it in the grill during 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The last album of the famous death metal band Amon Amarth is out. I think it is a good album, but there are some common points with the last one. This album is more brutal and less melodic. The sound is very clean and fast, songs are full of epic melodies. In my opinion it is not as good as their last album but it cannot disappoint you if you like this band in general. So it is not the best but it is still good.

Favorite song: « War of the gods » very powerful music.

The band of thrash metal Megadeth released their last album called Th1rteen release on October the 30th 2011. This album doesn't sound bad, We can describe it as technical, fast and thrashing... It is more heavy metal, fans will probably be disappointed, but we still have amazing solos and the voice of Dave Mustaine is incredible. The songs were well written, catchy and the guitars have pretty good sounds. So this new album is the natural progression from the last, Endgame.

Imaginaerum is the second album of the symphonic metal band Nightwish with the new singer, Anette. We can find jazz and folk influences in some songs.

Imaginaerum is a softer but more adventurous album than the previous one but lots of fans are missing the former singer, on this album the voice of the new singer is more expressive so it is a good point. Half of the songs are enjoyable for me, if you didn't like their last album maybe you will like this one because it is a bit more diverse and the singer's voice is better.
